Better Is Coming!  Our message and campaign was created to raise awareness of well being.  Due to the Pandemic many of us are experiencing higher levels of stress and anxiety.  Concerned with health, security, mental wellness, and the combination of lack of physical social interactions.  As we experience these difficult times together, we must embrace that things might not be great, but that Better Is Coming!

 

We have created comfy hoodies and tote bags to raise funds for a variety of charitable organizations that have been in the front lines of the pandemic in supporting our most vulnerable communities.

 

The design of our shirt was inspired by the 1971 poster “War Is Over! If you want it”, by John Lennon and Yoko Ono.  Its bold lettering in all capitals was to enhance and visually be as loud as possible with their message of Peace.  We wish to continue this message and that although things aren’t great, Better Is Coming!

Workman Arts is a multidisciplinary arts organization that promotes a greater understanding of mental health and addiction issues through creation and presentation. We support artists living with mental health and addiction issues through peer-to-peer arts education, public presentations and partnerships with the broader arts community.

Raising funds for: Will Munro Fund for Queer and Trans People Living with Cancer /  www.the519.org

 

Through his many parties and artistic endeavours, Will Munro maintained a vigorous engagement with Toronto’s independent and do-it-yourself art and music scenes. Although he died at age 35 following a battle with brain cancer, his influence continues to reverberate throughout the city on many levels. The 519 is proud to serve as the trustees for The Will Munro Fund for Queer and Trans People Living with Cancer, a legacy fund created through donations from Will’s family and friends.
